Looking down on Runcuracay with the first pass in the distanceTrip Description

This trip is a wonderful trip for those people with limited vacation time. It is a trip that provides a great introduction into the history of the Inca Culture combined with a 3 night / 4 day walk of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Walking the Inca Trail is the only way to arrive at Machu Picchu, because the trail and especially the ruins of "Wiñaywayna", give you a true understanding and appreciation for what the Inca culture accomplished in their short history. The trek starts at Km 82 via the train along the Urubamba River. With porters to carry all of the group equipment, you will enjoy walking with only a day pack as you enter the mountains and follow this amazing trail over three spectacular passes on the way to Machu Picchu. There will also be time both before and after the trek to visit Cuzco and wonderful Inca site in the vicinity.
